Short Description / Article Intro

Bytecoin Spain announced at the weekend that they were now added for trading on Venezuela\'s digital currency exchange, Basichange. The February 3rd tweet put Bytecoin among cryptocurrency neighbours Bitcoin, Litecoin, Monero and Dash, with access to Basichange\'s fiat currency trading. The Colombian Peso, however, is not necessarily a currency anyone in Venezuela wants to exchange into, as runaway inflation has devalued its worth to US$0.00036. Bytecoin, or BCN, is currently worth ten times that amount, at $0.003788, with a total market cap of $695,862,525.

\r\n

Bytecoin is one of the oldest cryptocurrencies in existence, having been launched in 2012. It is an open-source project for untraceable digital currency that has a small core following (currently fewer than 12,000 users worldwide) and a relatively small turnover. The last 24 hours yielded $2,214,550.00 of trading volume, however, and this is on a massive circulating supply of 183,708,617,811 BCN tokens.

\r\n

The 24-hour volume may perhaps be attributed to the fact that BCN is nearing its capped token issue amount of 184.47 billion. As the circulating coin supply approaches this capped limit, Bytecoins become gradually more expensive. The issue rate slows down and the number of available BNC decreases, so they become more valuable on exchanges.
