A rebranding strategy was implemented on February 1st for Waltonchain. The China-based blockchain company is responsible for promoting the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) concept invented by the eponymous Charlie Walton. Walton died in 2011 after making an outstanding contribution to the technology, which is used in electronic tagging for a wide variety of objects and applications.
\r\nRFIDs are ideal for businesses or labs, tracking applications for shipping (including individual livestock), card payments, clothing tags, highway toll payments and many more. It improves immensely on the barcode system, as doesn\'t require a line of sight for the tag to be read by sensors.
\r\nEstablished on November 20th, 2016, Waltonchain is a blockchain project using RFID to decentralise supply chains, and a native cryptocurrency coin called Walton Coin (WTC). The company made rapid progress in 2017, and the rebranding and internal communications strategy is building on the need to promote the IoT (Internet of Things) concept globally, and Waltonchain\'s contribution to it.
\r\nUsing RFID technology in a blockchain-based supply chain will help Waltonchain to achieve a global presence in the IoT ecosystem. Award-winning design team, JU&KE Creative Studio, acted as their brand image consultants and produced the new logo, which represents Waltonchain\'s organic fusion of the physical and digital world.
The blockchain industry has grown exponentially, disrupting traditional markets and creating new opportunities for innovation.
