Sarah Nizze, who works at Bosch as a manager in the marketing of IoT, recently told her Twitter followers that Bosch has decided to use IOTA as the backbone of their new venture in autonomous cars.
\r\nThe latest announcement follows Bosch\'s first IoT hackathon of 2018, in which the focus was placed on utilizing the \'Internet of Things\' in the market of self-driven cars.
\r\nLast July, Bosch entered into a partnership with the automobile business Tesla in order to collaborate on the company\'s first ever autonomous vehicle. Bosch hopes to utilize IOTA\'s technology to enable separate vehicles to communicate with each other.
\r\nThe Robert Bosch Venture Capital firm (RBCV) previously purchased a number of MIOTA tokens (IOTA\'s leading crypto) towards the end of 2017. RBCV has since become a member of IOTA\'s advisory body.
\r\nTak Dekel, who works at Bosch as a senior scout in the realm of tech said that the new incorporation of IOTA technology into the company\'s long term plans and goals signified the change in direction for the company.
\r\nDekel divulged that Bosch is slowly moving away from a business focus on hardware to an increasing focus on data and on how to monetize it.
