An enthusiastic endorsement for the Rchain Co-op was published on February 15th by one of the attendees at its first Governance Forum. Kenny Rowe, a self-styled "seeker of truth" and Co-op member, is also the Founder of OnChain.
RChain, whose RHOC coin is currently listed at #35 in global market cap rankings, is a Co-operative working on scalable blockchain applications. Their intention is to build an industrial-scale blockchain that delivers content on a Facebook scale, with cryptocurrency transactions conducted as fast as Visa. The project was initiated in 2016, after exploration and collaboration with other Ethereum developers, and deciding that existing architectures were insufficient to meet their requirements.
The Governance Forum is ongoing in Seattle until February 18th, and is aimed at getting all members of the RChain ecosystem working together productively and sustainably. A programme of presentations, performances and workshops is preceded by daily tai-chi sessions, and emphasis is on RChain's social nature as well as its technological structure. They hope primarily to thrash out norms and standards of governance that will establish the company's future processes, rather than norms evolving out of habitual and possibly non-compliant activity. The Forum is hosted by the President of the Rchain Co-operative, Greg Meredith.
The blockchain industry has grown exponentially, disrupting traditional markets and creating new opportunities for innovation.
