Dash, the 6th biggest digital currency in the world, and Arizona State University (ASU) have formed a partnership to foster Blockchain research and learning. The new joint venture will provide $350,000 to ASU for research labs, graduate courses and scholarships focused on Blockchain technology.
\r\nDragan Boscovic, the director of the Blockchain Research Lab at ASU said the latest partnership was as a result of a previous joint venture between Dash and ASU. He added that Dash needed someone that had the ability to carry out expert research technologically.
\r\nAccountable for arranging and organising every Blockchain research activity within the Dash partnership, Boscovic said the new research lab is the centre of all interactions between the two organisations. It has also been confirmed that just under 1/3 of the $350,000 allocated to ASU will be used for developing online graduate courses.
\r\nThe courses will cover the mathematical foundations of Blockchain, influence of Blockchain in business, networking possibilities, innovative applications of Blockchain and algorithmic proof-of-work and proof-of-stake aspects. The rest of the money will be given to the Blockchain Research Lab and the Luminosity Lab, and will be used for the development of a scholarship for the study of Blockchain.
\r\nThis latest news comes after experts revealed there was a gap in educational opportunities in Blockchain technology.
