It was announced on January 31st that Qlink, who claim to be \"The world\'s first decentralised mobile network,\" is forming a joint venture with trucking logistics company, Block Array. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the two companies, agreeing to work together to expand the collaboration between the logistics industry and mobile networks.
\r\nQlink\'s mission is to construct an open-source telecommunications infrastructure based on the blockchain. Block Array is already blockchain-based, with a platform which records the information from electronic logging devices that is now legally required. Using smart contracts, it can also create transport documents, such as bills of lading. The company is also pioneering a shipping capacity marketplace designed for logistics companies.
\r\nUnder the agreement Block Array will be implementing Qlink\'s dApp functionalities into their own systems so that their users will be able to use Qlink\'s distributed wireless network. This means that the vehicle owners will be able to communicate with the vehicles themselves while they are en route, extracting data from electronic logging devices and the engine. To benefit Qlink, Block Array will assist in the deployment of Full Nodes on the Qlink Chain, to ensure more reliability, stability and network uptime for Qlink users.
The blockchain industry has grown exponentially, disrupting traditional markets and creating new opportunities for innovation.
