The World of Ether, a popular cryptocurrency collectable game which is fuelled by Ethereum, has partnered with the Coinbase app Toshi to help bring the game to new audiences. The new partnership was announced by the World of Ether on the 12th of February.
The minds behind the World of Ether are prepping for the Q1 game release and have already pre-sold 1711 eggs on their website. The eggs contain monsters that can be used for breeding, selling on, fights against another monster foe, or kept as collectables.
Toshi hosts a smartphone browser for Ethereum's blockchain. The World of Ether have partnered up with Toshi in order to host the game via a smartphone app, as currently gamers can only enjoy the game through a PC desktop.
Ram Berrouet, who works for the World of Ether as Head of Product, said that the company appreciate the way in which Toshi allows crypto to be used by the masses. He stated that the business hoped that the new collaboration will draw in many people who had not previously shown an interest in the world of crypto. He also noted that bringing the game to the smartphone platform will allow many people to get involved with it more easily.
The blockchain industry has grown exponentially, disrupting traditional markets and creating new opportunities for innovation.
