Entrepreneur Nash Basel has opened a new crypto cafe in Dublin. The café accepts two of the most invested-in cryptos, litecoin and ethereum, which can be used to make payments via smartphone cryptocurrency wallets. The café also accepts euros, as well as the two popular cryptocurrencies.
\r\nMr Basel opened his café in January, using the money he had made from his own investments in crypto to open up shop. Mr Basel said that he began investing around six months ago, but sold his stash just before the crypto crash, cashing in on the coins he had amassed during this time.
\r\nThe café comes kitted out with a Coinbase screen, allowing crypto fans to track the latest market highs and lows on their current crypto investments. The café is also used as a regular meeting place for bitcoin meetups.
\r\nMr Basel stated that he decided to accept crypto in his coffee shop in order to give the café a unique appeal. He also said that he was inspired by a similar café that was recently opened in Prague, Bitcoin Coffee, where customers can only pay for their coffee using bitcoin.
\r\nMr Basel is already the owner of a popular restaurant in Camden Street, Dublin, called Jerusalem.
