Photos tweeted by IOHK and the Cardano Foundation show team members on the road this week. Steve Wagendorp, the Foundation\'s Delivery Assurance Manager, joined Juliette Adelfang, the Project Administrator, in Switzerland, at the Swiss Association for Standardisation (SNV) blockchain conference.
\r\nThe February 5th meeting was held to continue discussions on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies, with an emphasis on Terminology and Concepts. The inaugural meeting of the ISO (International Standards Organisation) was held last year in Sydney to discuss the implementation of the proposed standard ISO/TC 307, which will govern the new concepts. Several working groups are in progress as the blockchain technology develops, with such aspects as Smart Contracts, Governance, Reference Architecture, Use Cases and Security all being separately examined.
\r\nThe Cardano Foundation expressed themselves as proud to be involved in the global establishment of standards for the new industry, and seem unconcerned about the current downturn in cryptocurrency markets.
\r\nAnother tweeted photo, shared with Cardano founding company Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), showed a development team meeting with Emurgio, who are building their project on top of Cardano\'s blockchain protocols. IOHK launched Cardano last autumn, sharing many of their development team, and their ADA coin is ranked fifth in the world’s cryptocurrency listings.
The blockchain industry has grown exponentially, disrupting traditional markets and creating new opportunities for innovation.
