ICE (Intercontinental Exchange) has come together to work with Blockstream in order to achieve a disciplined Bitcoin price information database, using Blockchain technology, for investors on Wall Street to utilise. The plan is to pull together data from 15 different exchanges in order to deliver it to the large financial institutions in a format that is designed to complement modern and accurate metrics.

As the parent firm of the New York Stock Exchange, this move towards more transparency and accuracy within the digital currency arena from ICE is a clear indication of how Bitcoin is becoming increasingly popular within as traditional investment circles embrace the technology.

Cryptocurrencies are no longer viewed as suspicious outliers within the investment market, and they are now starting to be taken seriously. The platform should go live in March and will provide a simple solution for potential investors in the stock exchange to view up-to-date figures and statistics.

The idea is that the industry can begin to rely on resources that are created, packaged and delivered in a more professional manner than is currently possible. This news comes just a few days after Blockstream announced the launch of a Lightning Network-enabled payments store.
