Julian Hosp, the co-founder of a firm looking to allow people to spend cryptocurrencies easily, TenX, has said that he believes that Bitcoin is on course for hitting new highs this year, in terms of its market value. Speaking to CNBC this past December, Julian shared his predictions on the future of Bitcoin. He told the company that he thinks that Bitcoin's market value could potentially rise to a figure of $60,000 this year.
However, despite his optimistic predictions, he has also stated that he thinks that before Bitcoin reaches its new heights, it is potentially on the road to crashing first. Other commentators in the field of cryptocurrency have also stated that they believe that Bitcoin's market value is likely to shoot up at some point during 2018.
Analyst at Saxo Bank, Kay Van-Petersen, says that she thinks that the popular cryptocurrency's market value will peak to $100,000 during 2018. She has already made a number of predictions that came true with regard to Bitcoin. She previously predicted that Bitcoin would rise from $900 to $2,000 during 2017.
Dave Chapman, managing director of Octagon Strategy, a firm that specialises in crypto trading, also predicted that Bitcoin could rise to a market value of $100,000 this year.
