An ICO is in progress for a new type of information publishing, run on the blockchain principle. Known as CoinPress, the project plans to change the way news is distributed and understood, side-stepping short cuts and fake news published in such arenas as Google and Facebook.
\r\nThey will combine cloud-based publishing techniques with big data management technology, via cryptocurrency coin issues and the Blockchain, to disrupt the dominant online advertising markets. 50% of total advertising revenue currently goes to Facebook and Google and publishers cannot reap any profits even when they acquire a substantial readership.
\r\nIf CoinPress reaches its $100m target in ICO investment, it intends to expand at a pace fast enough to cause disruption to the predominant news apps in the next five years. A new cryptocurrency token called NEWS will be issued, acting as the native currency for PressCoin\'s publishing ecosystem.
\r\nThe shared platform infrastructure aims to provide publishers, readers and other news industry contributors with access digital media markets, including content, advertising, subscriptions, traffic and services, via PressCoin NEWS tokens. This infrastructure will supply network publishers with a range of improvements that are growth friendly and more cost-effective, leading to a more engaged, better quality, social newsexperience.
\r\nThe PressCoin ICO runs from December 11th to January 22nd, 2018.
The blockchain industry has grown exponentially, disrupting traditional markets and creating new opportunities for innovation.
