Cryptocurrency platform, Coinbase, is responding to log-jams and criticism of its recent poor service by taking on new staff. CEO Brian Armstrong announced in a Coinbase blog on January 22nd that the company has hired an executive formerly working at Twitter, in an effort to bolster its customer support service.
\r\nTwitter\'s former VP of Operations and User Services, Tina Bhatnagar, will now serve Coinbase as Operations and Technology VP. She is to lead all the operational teams for both Coinbase and their GDAX exchange, doubling the size of their support teams within the next three months. By the second quarter of the year, all customers should have 24/7 phone support.
\r\nThe new executive stated her intention to \"do right by our customers every single day,\" as Coinbase enters an exciting period in its history. The company and cryptocurrency are more than ever in the public eye, which makes the best possible service imperative, especially in the face of the frenzied activity of the past weeks. The platform has been experiencing problems with registration, with so many new users clamoring to board the crypto train, and existing users claiming inability to access the exchange.
\r\nArmstrong confirmed that despite \"minor hiccups,\" the platform had remained online through last week\'s price crash, coping with \"record volumes and traffic to our products.\"
