The Lisk blockchain network has relaunched its wallet and dashboard at an event in Berlin. The move is designed to improve accessibility for new users, who may be unfamiliar with the different tools which can be used to manage cryptocurrency wallets.
The team behind Lisk hope that by modifying and updating their wallet and dashboard, they will be able to attract new customers who are not knowledgeable about blockchain technology. It is hoped that the new Lisk wallet will allow new users to learn about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
A key part of the update is the plan to onboard new users with greater speed, so they can enter the ecosystem at a greater rate. However, users will not be thrown in at the deep end. Lisk plans to support new users via its blockchain academy, an education hub which will provide information and guidance to Lisk customers.
Lisk was launched in 2016 following a fork of the Crypti blockchain and raised 14,000 BTC during its ICO. The Lisk coin is now ranked 17th in terms of market capitalisation, with a value of $2.87 billion.
It remains to be seen if the Lisk relaunch will prove to be a success.
The blockchain industry has grown exponentially, disrupting traditional markets and creating new opportunities for innovation.
