A new partnership will make life easier for ether users, as Radar Relay, a decentralised cryptocurrency exchange startup, integrates the Ledger hardware wallet into its platform. Radar Relay updated their site on January 17th, announcing the Ledger integration into its Øx order book and giving full instructions on how to use it. Users of Ledger hardware wallets may now use Radar Relay to transfer their ether (the native coin of Ethereum) or other supported currencies based on the ERC-20 protocol, directly to a different Ledger wallet.
The announcement is significant, as puts RR among the first decentralised exchanges to allow users to exchange cryptocurrency funds directly between hardware wallets. RR already has a software, or browser-based wallet, integrated on the platform (MetaMask), but a hardware wallet is a physical entity like a USB stick, which can store funds more securely. Owners of Ledger wallets can now connect these devices to a computer, open up their Ethereum apps, and use Radar Relay's app to transfer any funds they wish.
Since the integration was announced, it has received a favourable response from many in the cryptocurrency community, with tweets from satisfied users suggesting it was an amazing decision and constituted a "glimpse of the future."
