For the first time in its history, the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) will appoint an executive director.
\r\nThe EEA, an open-source blockchain consortium, will now be led by Ron Resnick, a previous president and chairman at the AirFuel Alliance. The press release stated that the board believed that Resnick had the background and experience needed to lead the EEA through what will be a period of rapid growth.
\r\nResnick has over 25-years of experience working in financial, business and technical development, having also previously held roles at Intel and been a board member of the WiMax Forum, which pioneered the rollout of4G phone and data technology. Resnick has stated that his goal is to develop Ethereum-based technology further, using best practice and open-source architectures, so that it becomes an \"enterprise-grade technology.\"
\r\nOne of the first jobs Resnick will have as executive director will be to host an EEA event at the World Economic Forum in Davos on 23rd January, where Ethereum-based technology will be shown off to business leaders from around the globe. Over the past three months, over 50 companies have signed up to join the EEA, including Sberbank, Hewlett Packard, and the Australian Digital Commerce Association.
The blockchain industry has grown exponentially, disrupting traditional markets and creating new opportunities for innovation.
