The Burgerlove fast food restaurant in South Melbourne, Australia, has announced the launch on Friday February 9th of its new NEM Burger. The promotional event will run from 18.30 to 22.30 local time (UTC+11) and lasts for one night only. Visitors to Burgerlove will find a NEM Burger on the special CryptoMenu for AU$16 – or it can be paid for in NEM\'s own cryptocurrency, XEM. All purchasers will get a free promotional t-shirt, and NEM Burgers will also make a $1 charitable donation from each purchase, which will go to TLCforkids. 

Burgerlove are launching the ground-breaking event in an attempt to promote acceptance of cryptocurrencies generally, explore new payment options and to celebrate their partnership with NEM. They will be the first fast food eatery in Australia to accept XEM. The company has embraced the new technology, and now customers can now buy their favourite burgers from any Burgerlove outlet using a variety of cryptocurrencies, such as XEM.

The event will be co-hosted by the NEM Foundation, a community blockchain initiative which is forming local groups around the world. There are now over 79 Meetup groups in 40 countries, and scheduled events in February include NEM Beers in Barcelona on the 15th and NEM 101 information sessions in Toronto (24th) and Ukraine (25th).
