KFC Canada is running a Bitcoin promotion on their fried chicken buckets, but only for a limited time and only for buckets with a cryptocurrency theme. Cynics might see the limited duration marketing move as a ploy to jump on the blockchain and crypto bandwagon.
\r\nIf so, they would be following in the footsteps of Long Island Iced Tea (now Long Blockchain) and other publicly-traded companies, whose stock prices soared after changing their name or product to tie in with today\'s tech. But so far it doesn\'t seem to be working for KFC, as their parent company\'s stock prices have been little affected. Yum! Brands, if anything, actually closed at a lower value on January 11th\'s trading on the NYSE.
\r\nThe Canada-based KFC chain\'s promotion is for \"The Bitcoin Bucket,\" and it comes with a live price tracker via Facebook. The standing price of the product (approximately C$20) obviously depends on the bitcoin exchange rate, which over the last month has been immensely volatile. The offer is also for online orders only, as KFC need to use BitPay as a payment instrument for accepting Bitcoin. While they will deliver Bitcoin Buckets to the door, customers will have to pay an additional C$5 fee for the privilege.
\r\nHowever, KFC are offering a free Bucket to Bitcoin\'s legendary anonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, if he will reveal his identity!
Zloadr is launching a new token exchange powered by its audience.
