Verge has been accepted for payment by Crypto Emporium, it was announced on February 11th. Crypto Emporium will launch their site on February 16th, and supporters were invited to vote for which coins to include on its list of accepted currencies. More than 10,000 votes were cast, and the Verge community, known as VergeFam, were congratulated by Crypto Emporium for their strong support.

Verge\'s XVG was voted in as the last of five cryptocurrencies to be added by the Emporium. The fourth coin voted in was Ripple\'s XRP, with 24,500 votes, and the top three are naturally the world leaders, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.

First published on January 24th of this year, the Crypto Emporium was described even by its owner as \"a gamble.\" It is a blockchain start-up from scratch, which asked for investment without the traditional ICO. The Crypto Emporium is an online marketplace for luxury items which can be purchased with the five cryptocurrencies. Top ticket items will include high-end electrical gear as well as the more traditional watches, yachts, cars and even jets. The project is unashamedly directed at the affluent, and functions as an intermediary, sourcing and supplying luxury brand products at a competitive (though still really high) cost.
