The company behind MaidSafe Coin announced on the 13th of February that they will be opening a new office in Chennai, India, in order to work on the development of the company's Secure Access For Everyone Network.
The Indian office will be primarily working on undertaking the research and development of the front end of the network, while also looking to expand their reach in the local area.
The company are seeking to develop the SAFE Network in order to address the rise of cyberattacks across the globe, and to resist the widespread increase in government surveillance. The SAFE Network has been developed to help protect people's privacy and enhance the control they have over their data. The SAFE Network will be based on a fully autonomous network in order to help safeguard the data of its users. The project will also help bring together developers in Chennai who are currently undertaking work for the project.
David Irvine, who is the founder of MaidSafe, said that the company were excited for their latest venture, and had chosen Chennai because it was home to some great talent in the field of software engineering. He went on to say that the company were looking to rebuild the internet, and were seeking new team members in the local area to help accelerate work on the project.
