A resident of Plymouth was left angered after spending more than £3,000 on an Amazon purchase for a Bitcoin mining processor, only to discover a DVD of the movie ‘Baby Boss’ upon receiving the package. Ichim Bogdan Cezar has stated that he believes a scam has taken place and is also upset that Amazon has so far refused to issue a refund for the product, despite a lengthy process that has taken over two months.
\r\nAmazon has failed to issue a refund and in his opinion are unwilling to help the victim of the scam. Cezar had first issued a complaint in November, but the company have twice declined to issue a refund.
\r\nThe bitcoin mining processor was purchased on behalf of Cezar’s brother-in-law, living currently in a country where Amazon does not deliver (Romania). When the parcel arrived, it contained the DVD instead of the processor. When first contacted, the seller said it was a mistake and would send out the correct product.
\r\nDespite this, since that December correspondence, the seller has been un-contactable and the return request closed on Cezar’s account. Amazon states that it is refusing to issue a refund as the original parcel was signed for.
