Mobius Network, a smart contract-based data platform, announced in a press release dated Tuesday 9th January that its $35 million token pre-sale has been successfully concluded.
\r\nThe company went on to say that it had in fact raised $10 million more than originally projected on the sales of its MOBI token, which has its base in the Stellar network. Once the service launches, Mobius Network is planning to develop the platform so it can act as a facilitator in the completion of smart contract-based micro-payments.
\r\nThe press release went on to note that 32,000 people had registered to take part in the MOBI pre-sale, which ran from the end of 2017 to the New Year. The full initial coin offering is scheduled to take place on January 18th, when an estimated 7.5 million tokens will be offered for sale.
\r\nThe use of tokens and smart contracts to facilitate real-time machine-to-machine transactions is becoming increasingly popular, especially for sending micropayments. Law is another area in which smart contracts and tokens could revolutionise the way people do business with each other, with services such as DocTailor offering legal contracts and agreements on the blockchain.
Zloadr is launching a new token exchange powered by its audience.
