The cryptocurrency IOTA has recently experienced a rapid increase in value. Yesterday, the currency was given another boost with the news that The Robert Bosch Venture Capital Group (RBVC) has decided to invest significantly in IOTA. 

IOTA is billed as the cryptocurrency which is designed for the Internet of Things. When the company announced the launch of a new Data Marketplace at the end of November, this triggered massive investment and growth. Since then, the market capitalisation of IOTA has increased by over 400%, propelling the cryptocurrency into the top 4 currently on the market.

Dr Hongquan Jiang, one of the Group\'s partners, will also be joining the advisory board at the IOTA Foundation. RBVC is particularly interested in \"tangle\" technology which has been developed by IOTA. \"Tangle\" technology allows the Internet of Things in someone’s home to interact and communicate with the blockchain protocol. 

Jiang expressed how he was looking forward to advising the company. \"We have been working with the team for over a year”, he said. “I’m extremely excited about the direction that ‘tangle’ technology is taking us in. This could become the standard technology for machine-to-machine comms, security and payment in the world of the Internet of Things.\"
