The parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), is joining forces with Blockstream, a Blockchain startup aiming to develop and release a new data feed, which is based on cryptocurrency technology.
\r\nThe data feed will present real-time data from over 15 cryptocurrency exchanges around the world, as well as order book data and prices for bitcoin and various other digital currencies.
\r\nIn addition to this, it has been revealed that the cryptocurrency data feed will also display information against major currencies such as the dollar. Blockstream will store, analyse and format such data in order to help investors and traders easily evaluate how individual markets are performing.
\r\nLynn Martin, ICE Data Services President and chief operating officer, said that it was crucial that investors were given complete pricing data and information for cryptocurrencies. She also added that the company were excited to be working with Blockstream and had big hopes for the future.
\r\nFurthermore, it has been confirmed that Blockstream will collect the data and statistics from individual exchanges, organising the figures in a similar way to that that of stock exchanges. As well as real-time data, the information presented will also include historical pricing.
