Blocknet announced on February 16th that it was now established on the alternative social media platform, Minds. Minds describes itself as \"an open-source, community-owned social network\" that provides the tools for increased privacy and internet freedom as well as reach and revenue. Much like the increasingly-maligned and bot-ridden Facebook, Minds hosts pages for companies and individuals, together with a Newsfeed, featured and trending videos, blogs and other materials. There is also a community support group for technical help. Blocknet have posted links to their project, contact details and three newsletters, and so far have a following of 24.

The company itself is relatively old, having completed an Initial Token Offering in 2014, but it then took more than two years to get the project up to speed and actually launched. It claims \"a revolutionary advancement in cryptographic technology\" which will enable cross-blockchain transactions on a true P2P protocol. Cryptocurrency projects are likely to expand exponentially if they join Blocknet, because the BaaS (blockchain as a service) technology will be inter-operable. Although it offers a functional token, the BLOCK, many other digital currencies can be traded amongst each other across Blocknet\'s XBridge link.

The BLOCK is performing well on cryptocurrency markets, with a slight uptick in value taking it to US$3.65 per token.
