Blockchain.info Opens Offers to US Customers

The digital wallet provider Blockchain.info, a UK-based platform has issued a statement saying that it is to open its doors to service customers in the US, in a move that opens up the ability for those in 22 states to buy and sell Bitcoin. The plan is for more services to be added to the platform with US clients in mind, including exchanges for Ether and Bitcoin cash over the course of the next few days.

This move into the American market is being viewed by some as a reaction to Coinbase, which in recent weeks has seen some negative responses to a decision to integrate Bitcoin Cash, rather than focusing on the implementation of Segregated Witness (SegWit).

\r\n

At this moment in time Blockchain.info has around 22 million users overall, with about 30-40% of those users based in the US. These numbers show that there is some way to go before it can become a mainstay in the US market.

The announcement by Blockchain.info comes just 24 hours after a dramatic slump in prices for cryptocurrencies across the board. In this current climate, it is important to those at the top of Blockchain.info that they provide a quality experience for all investors.
