NEO has announced, through a blog post to its community, that it is to airdrop a number of ONT tokens to members, as part of a collaboration with the Ontology project.
\r\nThe token drop will only be available to members of the NEO community, as a way of saying a heartfelt thanks for all of the support and contributions from members NEO has received since its inception. NEO continues to develop the blockchain with help from contributors from all over the world.
\r\nCollaborating with Ontology is exciting for NEO and all of its members, utilising the multi-chained public infrastructure that was first started by the Chinese blockchain company, Onchain. Working towards a decentralised ecosystem where both can work together is a great idea, promoted with this sharing of tokens, which NEO has decided to drop to members only.
\r\n20 million ONT will be dropped to the NEO community, with 50% available to trade and the other half locked automatically. The first tokens will be dropped during the first few weeks in March this year, and is a precursor to the Ontology MainNet being released in Q2 2018 (about which we are currently awaiting further information).
